Using the tried and true glue/borax/water recipe, we had mad the perfect therapy slime! We could bury small objects in it, Chewy would use his fine motor skills to take them out. The slime was cold and a strange texture, so his sensory issues could be addressed at the same time, not to mention, this slime has no mess! It comes off clean nearly everything it touches (not carpet and some knit clothing, so still be careful around those!).

With my youngest being gluten, dairy and soy free, it’s hard to find treats for him, like cakes and muffins, that taste so good the rest of us can all share. I’ve tried countless recipes, products and even an in-home chef to try to find new ways to enjoy foods on such a restricted diet. [...]

Okay, okay, I know y’all are like, “We get it, you went to Disney World” already, but bear with me for one more post. This is one of mommy anxiety, being an autism mom and about the need to let go and just have fun. Here we go… If I’ve learned anything over the last [...]
Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. Quite possibly the best food ever created. In fact, just typing those words, my mouth is watering. For more than 60 years Hickory Farms gifts have been a classic holiday tradition that brings family and friends together. Many Americans have a distinct memory of Hickory Farms at their holiday gatherings; Hickory Farms [...]
The kids and I headed to Chili’s for dinner the other day. It’s summer and getting hot here in Denver these days and I don’t like to heat the whole house cooking a ton… So off to Chili’s we went. They have this new Triple Dipper meal where you choose 3 appetizers (all with dips, [...]

Brady is allergic to damn near everything. What he isn’t allergic to, his GI issues don’t tolerate too well. This makes it super hard to find “normal” foods and snacks he can have. As he’s getting older, he wants to drink what his brothers do, not his rice milk. I caved and bought a bunch [...]
Kickboard Scooters are going to make a big splash this spring. They are already making a HUGE splash with my boys. We received a Mini, Maxi and a regular ol’ 2 wheel scooter from Kickboard USA. I was especially excited as it was supposed to start warming up here in Colorado and we had a couple days of 60 degree weather on the horizon. Nothing like letting the boys run off their energy outside instead of with a face in some sort of video game.

Thanksgiving and Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a holiday Ham! I can never seem to cook one properly and with all of the sides to prepare, who has time for it?! 99% of the time I leave it up to Honeybaked Ham. In fact, the past 3 Easters and Christmases alone I’ve said forget [...]
