About Emily Vanek
She and her husband live with their three sons near Denver. Her youngest child is on the Autism Spectrum, so she is passionate about connecting with parents with special needs. In her spare time, she knits, shops, and reads. She is also a master tortoise wrangler and expert in getting water out of various electronics (don’t ask).
Emily is your go-to gal for all things related to kids and moms, with a specialty in Denver and Boulder.

Emily Jones (“EJ”, because two Emilys is really confusing, even to us), is a writer for Coloradomoms.com.
She is a Colorado native, and lives near Denver with her husband, two daughters, and a son. She is an advocate for education and devotes much of her time to volunteering in her children’s classrooms. She also enjoys cooking, canning, photography, and graphic novels, which are comic books for grownups.
EJ is a self-proclaimed food expert and theater/art nerd who loves exploring the growing cultural scene in Denver with her family.
