My Most Triumphant Outlet Shopping Story

The Place? The outlets in Connecticut near Mystic, CT. The time of day? Noon. The Store? My beloved Michael Kors. Oh how I love thee!

I was visiting my BFF at her beach house and we decided to shop, natch! ;) I was torn, right across the way was Miss Kate Spade but Michael was calling my name. I go in, I see the most beautiful Bronze Austin bag, but it was $400 and my hubby would not be pleased. I still coveted it, pet it, wispered sweet nothings in its ear, then saw the tag, it was marked down! But only to $350. Booo! Well then the sales lady came over (probably wondering why this crazy redhead was practically making out with a purse!) and told me it was marked down that same day and they hadn’t updated the tag. Sucess! Even if it’s $300, I’ll just seduce the hubby later and all will be fine. ;) I didn’t even ask what the price was, told her to ring it up!

I get to the counter and she has a surprised look on her face, then calls over her manager. Great, it’s probably not on sale. Bollocks! The manager then gasps and says to me, “Well, it’s marked down more than we thought, I scanned it twice, but it’s showing me it’s only $149.”

“Wha-Wha-What?! Wrap it up quick before Michael himself comes out and tells me different!!” I barked! And then that lovely purse was mine! I hugged it all the way back to the beach house. The best thing about my BFF’s place on the water is it’s filled with women! Moms, Sisters, Aunts, Cousins but mostly girls! We all placed it on the bed to admire it and giggle over the steal I got!

My lovely new BFF (sorry Jess)…
