Princess Jasmine inspired this look. Now, up to this post, I’ve been keeping the outfits pretty affordable to real life. Jasmine is just too regal for that. 😉 I will definitely have to do some bargain shopping and just use this as inspiration for my actual outfit for the Disney Social Media Moms conference at the end of the month.

Going to get on a serious note for your all… I’ll try not scare the pants off of you though. See, tax time is here and millions of households around the country are groaning. Many are writing checks instead of getting a refund. If you are getting a refund though, I wear a size 8 shoe and am partial to Louboutin’s. 😉

Tax time can also make you a prime target for scammers wanting to take whatever Uncle Sam didn’t. Here are a few ways you can find the scammers and make sure you aren’t their next victim.

I love this color green, the ivory looks amazing with it! This is definitely one I will duplicate for the Disney Social Media Moms conference next month. I think Tiana would be proud of this outfit inspired by her green ball gown. All pieces (save the shoes at $130) are again, under $50.

Another Disney outfit for the Social Media Moms conference at the end of April. Everything is under $50, right down to the shoes! If Belle were going to Florida, I’m pretty sure she’d wear this. 😉

I get labeled this a lot. “SuperMom.”

“Wow! With 3 boys, one who is autistic, a hubby who is a doctor and all you do? You must be a SuperMom!”

“How do you have time to knit or read or even pee without a kid barging in?! You must be a SuperMom!”
“You work from home, travel and have time to take the kids to appointments, practices and school?! You must be a SuperMom!”

I’m here to shatter your world people.

I’m not a SuperMom!

Truth is, I’m normal. I’m flawed. I’m lazy at times and I constantly wonder if I’m a bad mom.

I forget that the kids have a half day on a random friday more often than not.

If it were up to me? I’d never clean the house.

I yell at the kids, say the wrong thing and burn dinner almost daily.

I think the label “SuperMom” is ridiculous. We all are just trying to make it day-by-day and doing the best we can.

Just because one mom deals with autism and another might have typical developing kids, doesn’t mean that both don’t work as hard as the other at doing everything. Circumstances are just different.

So let’s give ourselves a break. 🙂 Let’s get rid of the ideal of a “SuperMom” and realize we are all simply, great moms.

I have this sick obsession with infomercials. It started in the early 90’s with that Cosby sweater clad Mike Levy on “Amazing Discoveries”. Don’t act like you didn’t watch it. It was ratings GOLD! I mean this guy would act like he’s never seen a hair roller before, then fumble around like an idiot with the “old school” ones, then act like he’s Vidal Sassoon himself with the fancy steam rollers! (And side note, I totally bought those rollers!)

Crochet is the new Knitting. No?! Well, it should be anyway. I love knit items and love to design things with knitting, but crochet is something I can do in my sleep.

I found this super cute washcloth pattern on ravelry years ago. I made a couple but they just sat in my “things I made and are pretty so I just like to look at them” pile. Lately Brady has been breaking out more from the bath and I thought it might be due to the scratchy washcloths. I whipped up these three during the premier of The Bachelor (don’t judge, I know it never works out but it’s soooooo addictive!).
