I realized yesterday my house was completely lacking in Easter and spring decor. We’ve been so busy with projects and preparing our house to sell that I totally forgot the Easter Bunny will be hip hopping his way into our house in just a few days.
As always, I ran directly to Target to see if they could help me out of my sad spring decorating jam. Because, of course, I didn’t pack last year’s Easter decorations away in an easy-to-access spot. Of. Course.
Thankfully, Bullseye’s Playground (aka the Target Dollar Spot) still had some amazingly adorable items left. I was able to throw together this cute and playful mantel display for $15! Last minute, sweet, and cheap…does it get any better than that? Many of the items can be used well past Easter Sunday, too.
My favorite items are the Easter tree and grass bunny. I’ll be able to leave these up past Easter and into the first few weeks of spring, along with the “happy” banner. The burlap on the Easter tree and banner tie in perfectly together.
The kids are dying to get their hands on the chalkboard eggs. A dozen eggs, including chalk, was only $3. The pack includes white chalk, but I picked up a pack of colorful chalk to use as well. I think I’m going to let the kids decorate these instead of dyeing eggs this year. We never eat the dyed eggs and who wants boiled eggs sitting around as a decoration? And bonus…we can pack them away to do again next year!
