Valentine’s Day is coming up.
As I’ve mentioned before, we don’t go overboard here at our house. We keep it low-key at home, and we definitely don’t go out on what’s bound to be one of the most crowded days of the year at most restaurants.
And because I know you turn to me for love advice, listen up now. Skip the restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Wait one week and head out during Denver’s Restaurant Week instead. So much better, I promise.
This year, Restaurant Week runs from Friday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, March 5, and they’re changing up the pricing a bit. Now you can choose from hundreds of restaurants offering multi-course dinners at three price points — $25, $35, or $45 per person.
You can find menus for the many different restaurants here — top-rated ones like The 9th Door, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse or their more relaxed Bar and Grille (get the ahi tacos and you will not be sorry), Euclid Hall, and The Capitol Grille.
My advice? Limit yourself, either by location, or type of food, or by searching a restaurant you’ve always wanted to try. It’s almost overwhelming to just start browsing, so pick a parameter and narrow your search a little. Check out their menus and see what everyone’s offering. Then — have fun. Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day!
