We started spotting Santa around the metro area in early November. I don’t know if he got all his work done early, or if he’s delegating a lot of his present-making to the elves this year, but either way, he’s been getting ready to visit kids here in Denver for a while now. If you’re looking for the best place to spot him, here are a few ideas:
-Santa at Flatiron Crossing, Broomfield: Stand in front of the Naughty-or-Nice O’Meter and see if you made it onto the right list this year. Try out the Elf-Ray Vision, and take pictures with Santa Himself at the end. Also check out Storytime with Santa Nov. 7-Dec. 2 at 10am every weekday (except Black Friday), and the Kids Club events in the food court area.
-Santa at Southwest Plaza, Littleton: The mall was newly renovated just about a year ago, and now features The Adventure to Santa. Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda takes families on an interactive holiday adventure with Po. Finish with your own visit and pictures with Santa at the end. Be sure to read these FAQs and get a little more info before you go.
-Santa at Park Meadows, Lone Tree: Santa poses for pictures at Dillards Court at Park Meadows as well. A great option for kids who might be overwhelmed by bigger, flashier venues. Also, you’re not required to purchase pictures to visit with Santa — he’s happy to meet with every kid.
-Santa at Cherry Creek Mall, Cherry Creek: Visit Santa’s Flight Academy and help Santa and his elves get ready for their big night. Try on a virtual flight suit, power the sleigh, and dance under a snowfall. Then visit Santa as an official member of his crew.
-Santa at the Bel Mar Skating Rink, Lakewood: If you want to get a little exercise with Santa (he’s gotta get ready for all the cookies), join him on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1-3p at the Bel Mar Ice Rink. He’ll be skating and visiting with kids of all ages. Free with skating admission. Check here for more info on the rink.
Have fun, everyone! And if you do get an audience with St. Nick, put in a good word for me? Please?
