The launch of Androidz is today! June 14th, 2010 in Sunny (finally after 3 days of rain) Denver, Colorado. I received a free box to test out with the kiddo’s at our lunch with @thetoyguy from Time To Play. As soon as I got home my 5 yr old was jumping up and down to play with this set. We got the Strategic Defense set with Red Eye. It came with a robot, plane and airbase.

After quite some time (and maybe a few curse words from me) the base was assembled. It had quite a few pieces and doesn’t seem to stay together if moved from one room to the next, but I love how it’s just a base. No sounds, no lights, just the kids own imagination! The plane and robot are of good quality and can really take a beating, which is good in this house!

The kids love how you can “collect” all the robots and they are going to be sold in packs of 2 for less than $10 I believe. The kids love anything that says “collect them all”. For now I think select Wal-Mart locations will have them (I will update with online locations as soon as I get them).
I love how they don’t do anything. Meaning, the kids have to use their imagination to play with them and anything to get them off the video games and using their brain is A-Okay in my book!
Buy It Now:
Imaginative – lets the kids lead the play.
Fun to collect
It’s robots! C’mon, what little boy doesn’t love robots?!
Empty Cart:
Base had too many pieces
Hard to keep together
Final Verdict? I say Buy It Now as all 3 of the boys (ages 2 to 11) have had a blast playing with this set.

Disclosure: I received a free set for review, the opinions are mine and honest.

Oh no.. Another toy that the kids will like.
