Day 1 of our 12 days of Reviews features Steve Spangler Science! My boys love science! They especially love hands on experiments. We watch Steve Spangler on our local news channel often and the boys always want to recreate the fun experiments he highlights. I was recently given the opportunity to review the Big Bag of Science! As soon as my boys saw the bag, they were more than a little excited.
We sat around the table and poured through the booklet of all the different things we could do in the kit. Cartman decided he wanted to make slime! We set out everything he would need and I helped him measure out the ingredients and shake the cup. After a few seconds of shaking, his liquid became slime! He had fun pretending the slime was many things/creatures and the age old “boogers”. That never gets old in a house full of boys!
Thomas wanted to make snow. I thought it a bit odd considering it was actually snowing REAL snow outside when we were experimenting. He said either snow or shooting mentos from soda. I thought making snow would be less mess in the house.
So he got his supplies together and started mixing like a pro! Pretty soon we had a table full of fluffy snow! We put some in the freezer to see if it would get just as hard as the real snow! Cartman couldn’t tell which was real and which was fake after both had been in the freezer for a couple hours.
The Steve Spangler Big Bag of Science was a BIG hit in our house. Retailing at $39.95, this is a great price many many experiments you can do! My kids gave it 4 thumbs up and even wanted to get a set for Grandpa for Christmas!

I’m really inspired along with your writing abilities and also with the structure to your weblog. Is this a paid subject or did you modify it your self? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is uncommon to look a great weblog like this one nowadays. Goodbye from Israel
I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
I found this is a helpful and interesting post, so I think it is very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this script. I am expecting the analogous best work from you in the future as well. Really your creative writing ability has urged me.
You speak with so many recommendations, so much spirit, as though I feel that you have clearly hit the nail on the head. Well done! I will directly capture your rss feed to stay abreast of any updates. authentic work and much success in your business efforts!
Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
are the included parts many???
I’D LOVE TO BUY IT IF ITS MANY
So cool! My budding scientist would LOVE one of these!!!
This sounds perfect for my 2 little scientist boys!!! Thanks for the great review!
I can just see the mess my boy would make. And the dog would probably try to eat everything. LOL
that does look like a good kit. We love to do different experiments here too. Of course the boys love to make slime.
