I love heels. I used to wear them all the time, but once I started staying at home with the boys, I slowly slipped into a world of converse sneaks and flip flops. Once I started going to conferences for blogging and toys, I tried to wear heels and my feet just couldn’t take it. A fellow blogger would make fun of my shoes even. Well, I kinda deserved it. I was wearing pantyhose (GASP) and some “old lady shoes”. She asked if I was 80.  Okay, point taken! Off to the mall…

I searched high and low for those perfect shoes, ones that are heels, stylish, but I can also wear for 18 hours of walking/standing for days on end of a conference. Another blogger friend said she had just the shoe for me. I had actually won a pair of Earthies on her blog. I was stoked when these fire engine red heels came to the house.

I got TONS of compliments every time I wore them out. I even had a man stop me at Costco to ask where to get them for his wife. You should have seen my face!

So a little while ago Miss Bookie Boo asked if I’d like to receive and review another pair. Um, YES! How can I pass this up?! So I was off to earthiesusa.com and picked my pair. With so many styles to choose from, I ended up getting some help from friends to decide! I settled on the Cristiana in taupe. Perfect for fall.

Once I got them, I had to put them on and strut my stuff. Not only are these shoes just as comfy as my red pair, they go with absolutely everything! I’m in a purple and brown phase right now. Not together, but wait, now that I think of it… that might look cute! Anyway, these shoes look great with my jeans, skirts, capri’s, everything except my yoga pants (and hey, they probably even look cute with that!).

These shoes aren’t cheap. The Cristiana pair are approx. $170. Even with the high price, I think they are totally worth it. My new “go-to” shoes for conferences and any time I need to look stylish and be comfy. I could buy 4 pairs of crappy heels that will fall apart or hurt my feet, or one pair that will last for years, through the ever changing world of fashion and trends. I’m going with the shoes that last. The only thing to be aware of with these shoes is that if you have tiny ankles, they are a bit wide at that part of the shoe. I wish there was some elastic or a way to bring that in a bit more.
