Are the historical characters dolls and the my american girl dolls the same size?

I'm fairly positive they are all 18 inches :) They do have mini-historical dolls out now, but those are only 6 inches high.

Thank you! Trying to buy clothes and didn't know if they were different sized. But when I tried to checkout shipping was nearly 25....so I guess I am heading cherry creek.

Do they have them at Cherry Creek? I thought the only store was in Park Meadows. Oh and lots of people are making clothes for 18 inch dolls now. Target has their own set of 18 inch dolls and I saw some 18 inch doll clothes at JoAnn's the other day. Did I tell you about the bed at IKEA too? They have a 19 inch wooden doll bed that fits the American doll perfectly for $19.99 - way cheaper than the store. :goodluck!!

Just be careful with clothes...I bought some 18" doll clothes at Kmart and they don't fit our American Girl Dolls. The outfits from Joann's and Michael's do...and they are WAYYYYYY cheaper than American Girl!

I can't believe you didn't text me directly with this question. ;)

As the purchaser of 42 American Girl dolls last year, I can assure you that they are all the same size.

We have been lucky and my mom has embraced 18" doll patterns and makes a crapton of clothes for T's doll. She also makes matching outfits for T. I have a hard time spending $40 on a flippin' doll outfit.
