Wii or Kinect?

For a game crazy DH with a bday coming up and a five year old? Pros and cons?

We have a wii and our 5-year-old loves to play but I have been watching kinect commercials and wondering if that would be better...

I really don't know anything about the Kinect, so can't do an accurate comparison. We have a Wii and really like it. DD is 5 and can play a lot of the games. She loves it when she get the chance! DH really likes it too!

We LOVE our kinect. We have both and we use our kinect so much more than our Wii. The games are much easier for our little ones on the kinect and don't require the controller, which is awesome. I highly recommend the kinect.

We absolutely LOVE our wii. We have not tried Kinect but have heard nothing but good things about it. So much in fact that we are seriously considering adding one to our stash of game stuff. LOL I'm am so not into having all the game systems etc but am considering making an exception for this one. :yes

We only have the wii and love it.. but yes the kinect looks like a lot of fun.. Have you looked into what games DH might like?

Love the kinect! Its so much fun seeing yourself up on the screen giving voice commands for things on the xbox. We have a few different games we have bought. There are a few more we are going to download and buy, life fruit ninja which the kids love. Its so much better than having to use the controller on the wii. Your moves actually do matter.
