Ripped off?

So yesterday I went to kohls with Chris to exchange some jeans and capris he got me for the correct sizes. It should have been an even exchange. Instead, the lady we encountered at customer service was crazy rude and we ended up paying $30 more for the same exact pants he bought 3 days prior. Does this make sense to anyone?? I wrote to customer service and they said they would send me a coupon for my next purchase. I have plenty of coupons. That doesn't help me. Totally disappointed in them right now. I am thinking I will just return the pants and maybe rebuy them when I have a coupon or even just go to JC Penney. Super bummed cause I want to wear them now!!

If you were exchanging for the exact same item in a different size, there should have been no additional charge. I would call the store and ask to speak to a manager.

I would just go return it and go to a different kohls. I love the one by us, they are crazy nice.

If you are only exchanging size then it should be an even exchange--that's crazy. Hope it works out.

Yeah if its just exchanging they should not be charging you more. I would go in and return them and talk to a manager, if they can't resolve it get your money back and go to another store. I don't shop at Kohls so no experience with them but that just doesn't sound right.

I'd write back to customer service you contacted and tell them the coupons are a joke! Let them know if they don't do an even exchange then you'll take a full refund and spend your money elsewhere.

Kohl's usually has one of the easiest exchange programs. You must have caught someone on a bad day...
