When you hear a noise around the house do you go find out what it was, hide under the covers or make hubby go investigate?

We live on two acres in the mountains so the chances of prowlers are low but the chances of animals are high. I tend to hear things and get spooked pretty easily. I have this fantasy of being able to open my door when I hear noises and say "Scram" but nope, I'm the one hiding :couch lol! I am getting better though! It's all those "mother bear" hormones :giggle

If DH isn't home, I'll investigate, but ask twitter first what they think it is. LOL

Depends on when and where. Not much of a scaredy cat.

Depends! If I hear a noise and the dog starts barking like crazy then I worry someone else is around. In the middle of the night I definetely send DH.

With 3 kids, I get more worried if I don't hear any noises!!!

Depends on what it is. In the middle of the night I will investigate. I get scared but DH doesn't wake up very well at night and usually doesn't hear much so I have to get up. I always joke that if someone broke into the house he wouldn't hear it. I have gotten used to roaming the house in the dark though checking for things because of the kids or whatever.

SO I'm a big wimp...I usually hide out under the covers...unless I hear it again, then I FB it (ya know so someone knows if something happens to me) and then go check. :)

I check it out. But I have dogs, so generally they check things out for me! :giggle I like to know the source of strange sounds, so I tend to go look; or if I'm tired in the middle of the night I send dh. :giggle
