Have a Hickory Farms Holiday! (#Giveaway)

Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. Quite possibly the best food ever created. In fact, just typing those words, my mouth is watering.

For more than 60 years Hickory Farms gifts have been a classic holiday tradition that brings family and friends together. Many Americans have a distinct memory of Hickory Farms at their holiday gatherings; Hickory Farms is very proud to be a part of those nostalgic moments and continues to focus on and celebrate its long heritage of tradition and authentic holiday memories.

This holiday Hickory Farms sent me a super cool tool bag filled with summer sausage, cheeses crackers and even spiced almonds!

Hickory Farms Tool Bag Giveaway

Cute right?! Well they are also allowing me to giveaway a gift bag, just lik you see here, to my readers! It’s simple to enter. Just comment below telling me your favorite Hickory Farm memory. If you have yet to try them, tell me why you’d like to! (Contest begins 11/26/12 and ends 12/8/12 at 11:59pm MDT. Full rules can be found here)

When I worked in the corporate world, we’d get tons of gift baskets delivered to the office this time of year. My favorite was when I worked for a bank in their new branches division and we’d divy up the baskets of goodies! Hickory Farms were always the first to get claimed. You had to be fast to score the delicious summer sausage. Luckily I was the executive assistant to the VP so those baskets had to get through me before reaching the rest of the staff. *insert maniacal laugh here*

I was so thrilled to get this tool bag filled with yummy treats that I almost didn’t want to share with anyone. I did, however, share with family at a gathering we had. See, I can be nice! I mostly shared the pepper jack cheese as it’s SPICY and I know how much my husbands family loves it.

So, would you share the gift bag or keep it to yourself if you won?

Hickory Farms has over 700 pop-up locations this holiday season, or you can always buy online at HickoryFarms.com

I’m amazed I even have a favorite Hickory Farms memory, but I do. When I was about 10, I used my allowance money to buy a small summer sausage for my dad. I brought it home and was worried it would go bad before Christmas, not understanding that summer sausage has a shelf life of 150 years or so. So I wrapped it and put it in the garage freezer, but I was afraid he’d see it.

So I buried it under a bunch of frozen food. Then I’d worry about it. I was constantly going out to the garage to check on the sausage. I was so glad when Christmas morning came. I was so proud of that damn frozen sausage.
