Yes, that’s right! We have a new in the box, unopened, glorious Fisher Price iXL to giveaway! Make your kids super happy this holiday season by winning this and wrapping it up under the tree (or menorah, or whatever you celebrate!).
I got to play with the iXL at both BlogHer and Time To Play‘s Holiday Showcase. They are so great for the younger kids. It’s a handheld game, ereader, notepad, mp3 player in one! Now Cartman want’s to give it to your little one for the Holidays!
From the Fisher Price website:
These days, even preschoolers want cool digital devices. Wait ’til they get their hands on iXL—the learning, entertainment and media center just for kids. Like them, it’s small but powerful. Full of creative fun. And very, very smart. It flips open and turns from a book to a game player and so much more—it’s like having six digital devices in one! Kids will love all the different ways to play, learning important fundamentals along the way. Folds closed for on-the-go fun. Requires 4 AA batteries (not included).
iXL also requires a PC or Macintosh computer with internet connection, CD-ROM drive and USB port. The Media Manager CD-ROM it comes with makes it easy for kids to load and manage their own photos, music and software titles. iXL can store multiple files.
Base system includes:
• 1 interactive story and activity
• 1 learning game
• Writing activities
• Art tools and stampers
• Music sampler
• Sample photo images
• And it’s easy to add more!iXL teaches:
• Story comprehension
• Counting (by 1’s, 2’s, 10’s)
• Art and creativity
• Phonics
• Vocabulary
• Writing
• Spelling and lots more!
So you know you want one right?! They retail for $80. We have one for you for free.
It’s a blue case, but if you have a little girl, she’ll be so enamored with the games, she won’t care about the color.
Here’s how to enter… (Multiple entries possible on this contest!)
Mandatory entry – Leave a comment below telling me which feature you like the best on the iXL.
Optional Entries:
Subscribe to our feed, then leave a comment here telling me you did so.
Like us on Facebook, then leave a comment here telling me you did so.

That’s it! Contest ends at 11:59pm MDT on December 5th, 2010.
disclaimer: I received a complimentary iXL system at Time To Play’s Holiday Showcase. No monetary exchange was made for this post.

I love that you can sneak in that education in with the fun and get stuff online and upload it. With two older brothers Matt would love to have his own handheld too.
I think it’s cool that it’s an ereader and MP3 player. Less electroic equipment to haul around.

I love the educational games and want to know why didn’t we have any of these fun things to play with when we were kids.. All we had were flash cards to try to make us learn and have fun at the same time.

I love the educational factor of this. My little one wants a hand held electronic game like his big brother & sister but the ones they have are too old for him. I love that this one is just right for him. My son has bad vision and our eye doctor actually recommended we get him a hand held game system like this for him to play when he has to wear his eye patch to help focus his eyes and make them work together. On top of that it will make the chore of wearing the eye patch fun because he gets a reward for it!

Maddy played with one of these in Toys R’ Us the other day and loved it. I like that it has learning games and writing activities. Technology for preschoolers is great as long as it is teaching them something.

Thank you!
Oh wow– thank you for the opportunity! This is high up on our list for my son- but doesn’t look like it’s going to work for us this year. So it would be awesome to win one!!!!!!
My fave features are the mp3 player and the picture manager- these two features make it a truly multi-functional device. My almost 5 year old is really getting into music and he LOVES to take pics with his camera- plus he loves playing the learning games on his Leapster, so I know this would be a HUGE hit! (not to mention we can’t pass the demo in Target without him playing it!)
Thanks again!
Love that it has so many different features for learning but also games for fun!
