Brady is allergic to damn near everything. What he isn’t allergic to, his GI issues don’t tolerate too well. This makes it super hard to find “normal” foods and snacks he can have. As he’s getting older, he wants to drink what his brothers do, not his rice milk.
I caved and bought a bunch of fruit juice pouches that I’m pretty sure “fruit” was in quotes. There was a lot of sugar and when Brady had one he was bouncing off the walls. I let him have them though, because it was a “normal” drink for kids to have. All my boys could drink them and he saw friends and cousins drinking them too. He was happy. Hyper, but happy.
Obligatory cute picture of my boy…
A little while ago, I was asked if I wanted to try replacing those sugary drinks with Fruitifuls by Juicy Juice. Well, Juicy Juice was a “normal” kids juice box so I thought, why not?! Brady loved the Apple Quench in the “geeeeeen” box (green for those not up on toddler speak) and kept asking for the “pink joooooosh”. Took me a while to realize he wanted the red box, known to the rest of the world as Punch Splash.
We got rid of the sugary juice pouches and replaced them with the Juicy Juice ones and Brady actually prefers these! We were at the store going down the juice aisle and he screamed “PINK JOOOOOSH” when he saw the Punch Splash. Obviously he is over the moon to have a joooosh, ahem, juice that other kids drink regularly as well as likes the taste. I like how they have less sugar and a full serving of fruit and made by a brand I know and love.
Now I want to share the
joooooosh Juicy Juice with you! I’m hosting a giveaway where you could win $50 Visa Gift Card & 5 free Juicy Juice Fruitifuls coupons! All you have to do is tell me which flavor your kids would love! Apple Quench, Punch Splash, Berry Cherry Burst or Orange Strawbana Blast. You can read all about the juice and flavors on their website!
I’d love it if you gave the Juicy Juice facebook page and twitter account some love too, though it’s not necessary for the contest. Full legal jargon can be found here, just note that if you are the winner, it can take 6-8 weeks for delivery of your prize. Contest starts now and ends at 11:59pm MT, October 30, 2012.
