I figure, what better way to get motivated to change my eating habits and actually work out, then to broadcast it for all the world to see?! I’m a glutton for punishment, so this seems perfect.
I want to lose 10-15 lbs by the time I go to Orlando with the family for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. That gives me a little under 3 months to lose the weight and get in shape! I have to come up with a great plan though. That’s where I’m lacking. I can eat healthy, as long as I stay away from places like Taco Bell and the like. After having my first child I lost the weight quickly. Became a HUGE fan of Suzanne Somers and hit the gym 4 days a week. I got down to a shocking 95lbs. Granted I’m only 5’2″ and was 20 years old at the time, but still, that was too skinny.
After kid #2, I got back down to 105, which for my height and build was the perfect weight. Kid #3 came along and I’m just praying to get under 120 again. I weighed myself today. I’m officially the heaviest I’ve ever been while not knocked up. 124.6. Holy Frick. That may not seem like a lot to other people, but I spent my whole teenage life just trying to get to 100 lbs, then gloriously lived through my 20′s as the perfect sample size. Now I’m turning 32 in April and my metabolism seems to have stopped. Dead in it’s tracks.
Okay, so I need a game plan. I have an elliptical, treadmill, recumbent bike and weight set in the basement. Yoga DVD’s, The Brazilian Butt Lift kit and DH even has P90x laying around here somewhere. The problem is I need a good solid plan that I won’t want to cheat. I need a food makeover too, as I assume coffee for breakfast and lunch and then double stuf oreos for a snack and a reasonable dinner, just ain’t going to make any nutritionist jump for joy.
What sites do you use? Any good books or DVDs? I want to do this at home as I’m already pressed for time with 3 boys and the gym just ain’t an option with them. Even with a full daycare, T is too old for it and Chewy is too high maintenance for it.
Help a sista out!
