Local Business Spotlight: the STAGE at Mi Vida Strings

stagecollage

Three years ago, Michele and Eric Trujillo opened Mi Vida Strings, a stringed instrument shop in South Westminster. They have provided high quality rentals to students around the metro area as well as expert repairs and restorations, since their opening. Recently their love of music and art led them to acquire the building next door to the shop and renovate it as a beautiful venue for all sorts of classes, concerts, and more.

On any given day, you can stop in the colorful Art Gallery building near 72nd and Lowell and find preschool yoga, cooking lessons, or families playing board games while vintage vinyl tracks spin in the background. You might even catch a renowned musician playing an intimate set for a few lucky listeners. As soon as you walk in the door, you are welcomed like family and treated as a friend. Nearly every event the STAGE hosts is all-ages, and very affordable.  The love the Trujillos share for each other, their three children, art and music, and their community, is evident in everything they do.

The STAGE at Mi Vida Strings opened this February and has quickly become the hot spot of the Westminster Historic Art District. In the words of the owners, it is “the world’s smallest mega-events center”! They are located at 3698 West 72nd Avenue, and you can view current events on our Calendar page by searching “Mi Vida”. You can also check them out on Facebook for more information. If you attend one of their many fun events, be sure and tell them that Colorado Moms sent you, and don’t miss checking out the beautiful, finely crafted instruments and accessories next door.

Coming to the STAGE in March: Free FAM Sundays, Jazz Jam Mondays, Yoga For Tots on Fridays, Kids’ Talent Showcase, Group Violin Lessons, and Spring Break Camp! Check the Calendar Page for more info!
