Weekend Events for June 29th-July 1st.

I had a hard time this week trying to find the right activities to share for the weekend. With the Colorado fires, it is hard to think of doing much else other than helping and doing rain dances to try and get them put out! However, we have a post with some fantastic resources for both the victims as well as those that want to help out coming soon.

As for July 4th activities, they are constantly changing as bans are being enforced in more and more cities, so your best option to stay on top of the events for that particular evening will be to check on your favorite news stations website. But there are still plenty of other things to do to keep your family busy this weekend!

JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES–June 30th at Town Center of Aurora; 2pm-4pm

14200 E. Alameda Ave. Aurora, CO 80012

Admission: FREE!

For more Simon’s Kidgit Club Activities, visit Aurora.Macaronikid.com

Yo ho, let’s go! This event will transform Town Center at Aurora into a Never Land adventure. For a day the shopping center will be filled with pesky pirates, pixie dust and ticking crocodiles!

Kids will start off on their adventure by joining the crew and receiving a Jake, Izzy or Cubby bandana and a treasure map. They will navigate through the activity stations and collect gold doubloons on their adventure to Never Land.

FOOTLOOSE MATINEE-Sunday, July 1st at The Lakewood Cultural Center

470 S. Allison Pkwy., Lakewood CO 80226

Ticket prices Vary

FOOTLOOSE explodes onto the stage with classic 80s anthems including Holding Out For a Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It For the Boy, and of course the title track Footloose. Life in small-town Bomont is peaceful until City boy, Ren, arrives. Breaking every taboo, Ren brings dance back to the heart of the town held back by the memory of a tragedy. Based on the hit 80s movie (which launched the careers of Kevin Bacon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jon Lithgow), FOOTLOOSE is packed full of electrifying dance routines, guaranteed to get the audiences to their feet. Dancing is not a crime; to miss Footloose would be!
