One Swell Time at the 1940s WWII Era Ball

That’s right, my cool cats — I had a killer diller time at the 1940s WWII Era Ball last weekend.

Held Saturday, June 18 at the Boulder Airport, the 1940s ball featured World War II planes, cars, and even tanks, along with 1940’s era entertainment. And dancing. Plenty of dancing.

My husband and I even got out and cut a rug for a bit (sorry, you will see no pictures of that. It ain’t pretty, doll.)

Chris Parente and Kathie J of Fox 31’s “Everyday Show” hosted the Miss Vintage U. S. Pinup Contest that evening as well.

The event raises money to benefit The Colorado 10th Mountain Division, The Rocky Mountain Honor Flight Colorado, and The Spirit of Flight Center Colorado. And while the ball was great fun, the part that touched me most was when we celebrated members of The Greatest Generation, who actually fought in WWII. Amazing.
