Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce



  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 5 minutes (or until translucent and turning slightly brown).
  2. Add minced garlic and vodka and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes
  4. Add the heavy cream, spices and basil and simmer for another 30 minutes
  5. Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi and add the artichoke hearts or cherry tomatoes to the sauce.
  6. Once the gnocchi is done (about 4-5 minutes of boiling) drain and add to sauce.
  7. Top with more fresh basil.
