Poptart Pops! Like Cake Pops, but Better.

I was cruising pintrest the other day looking for cake pop inspiration. I want to make my boys some Halloween themed pops for their class. I found some I liked, some I didn’t and then hit the holy grail of pops! Brooke McLay of The Cheeky Kitchen wrote an article featured on Babble about cake pops and her interview with the Queen of Cake Pops, Bakerella. Under her article was a recipe and amazing photographs of her bakerella inspire pops. Poptart Pops! I now have a new obsession. These pops were super quick and easy. Nothing like instant gratification! While cake pops can take hours, I made 12 poptart pops in less than 30 minutes. I traded in the filling Brooke made from scratch for some raspberry dessert filling from a can. I also didn’t have popsicle sticks handy so I used lollipop sticks. Next time I’ll find mini popsicle sticks as the lollipop ones went right through after the first bite. Doesn’t really matter to me as these are bite-sized for me anyway. ;) The full article and recipe can be found here.
