I’ve been a Disney/Pixar fan since A Bug’s Life. Loved all 3 Toy Story movies and everything else they’ve made together. It’s no surprise that with a house full of boys, that the Cars franchise is a huge hit with us as well. In fact, just in the past 2 weeks I think we’ve watched the first Cars movie a dozen times. My boys are counting down until Cars 2 comes out next month.
One of our favorite characters is Mater of course! When I was sent the Disney/Pixar Cars 2 Bubble Mater, my younger 2 boys eyes lit up! They couldn’t wait to get him going! We filled him with his bubbles and started racing him around the house. Yeah, I said inside the house. Hey, it was raining and we couldn’t wait for our mini-monsoon season to end before playing with Mater!
Carter, the 6 year-old, took him for a spin first. Showing his younger brother what to do. They were both laughing so hard once the bubbles started flowing out. Brady, the 3 year-old, decided it was his turn to push Mater around. This is great for his various therapies as he isn’t the most stable when running, or walking sometimes for that matter! The handles were the perfect size and the wide base made Brady feel steady enough to attempt to run with him. Running isn’t necessary to make the bubbles come out, but it sure made it fun!
At only $30, this toy is a great summer find! The kids have only been out of school a week, just as long as we’ve had ol’ Mater around, and he gets played with every day. Make sure you use the bubbles it came with and don’t toss the bottle away when you’ve run out! Simply buy your favorite bubbles and refill the bottle that came with the toy. I think cheaper bubbles work better with Bubble Mater and make sure it’s not too windy out or the wind will pop the bubbles before your kids can enjoy them.

Mater is a good ol’ boy with a big heart and the only tow truck in Radiator Springs that blows bubbles! Isn’t that neat? With great mechanical sputtering and puttering, this ol’ boy blows bubbles just about anywhere!

We love Cars, Toy Story and pretty much all those movies. LOL Thanks for sharing! We will have to be on the lookout for this. We walked into Toys R us the other day and my son had a fit at the HUGE Cars 2 display. Can’t wait for the movie!
