How Housework Can Keep My Kids Healthy

written by Emily

UGH. Housework. Chores. Cleaning. Just typing those words makes me cringe. I’m not a fan. This winter my kids and I all had never ending colds and various viruses it seemed. A few weeks ago I did a thorough deep clean of every surface and have *knock wood* all be relatively healthy since. Coincidence?

Pledge

Now, it’s not like we live in filth. The house is tidy and surfaces clean 90% of the time, but I loathe deep cleaning and scrubbing and that 10% of the time it was bad, it was bad. When I did the deep clean, I used Pledge Multi Surface™ Antibacterial Everyday Cleaner on our counters, furniture, tables, etc. At the time I had no idea that it kills 99.9% of bacteria and germs, including the flu virus. I just liked the scent and how it cleaned without streaks and residue. I knocked out two birds with one stone and didn’t even realize it!

I was about to do another deep clean and picked up Pledge Lemon™ Clean Furniture Spray at Wal-Mart in the home cleaning section during one of my recent shopping trips. Now that it’s spring, I wanted that lemon-y scent to make the house smell as amazing as it looks. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was similar to the Multi surface™ I already use and love. It traps 90% of allergens found in dust. This is perfect as we have pets and live in a windy area where we are no stranger to dust.

pledge

Now that I know how amazing Pledge™ is, I’ll be continuing to use it for years to come. I had been using it all this time just because of the scent and the way it cleans. It’s nice to know a product you love you can trust as well.

disclaimer: This is a sponsored conversation but all thoughts and opinions are mine and honest. I really do hate to clean y’all… but it’s a necessary evil.

She attends more concerts than is humanly possible and takes some pretty amazingly blurry photos of said shows to prove she was there. Also, #hashtags are her favorite. #totes #noreally
