I was nervous. I love Disney movies, love John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and of course my Gleek Jane Lynch. But… I was worried I wouldn’t like this movie.

I don’t know why. Maybe it was so hyped up that it wouldn’t live up to that hype? Maybe I was worried that I couldn’t love the characters? Maybe I was wondering if this movie could be played 50 times in a row at my house like Toy Story without me wanting to wreck the TV?

Well, as of 8:30pm on Tuesday, I had my answers.

D. None of the above came true! The movie is amazing!

The 3D graphics weren’t over the top, nor underwhelming. The characters were lovable, relatable and adorable. But the best part for adults? The nostalgia through the characters of the games we grew up on. Pac Man, Qbert, Street Fighters, Bowser and many, many more. Seeing an old NES controller on screen, a Galatica video game machine, Sonic the Hedgehog! There are so many things I’m sure I missed and cannot wait to go back and watch it again to see if I can pick out more characters and games I played as a kid.

Kids love the movie because of the hilarious characters, video games and of course, the duty/doody jokes. (hee hee I said doody).

What’s even better is there are already toys for the movie in stores now, you know how I love toys! Er, I mean, the kids love toys. Yeah, I got them for the kids. *ahem*

From Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore comes “Wreck-It Ralph,” a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day. Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty, and feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart-racing game Sugar Rush, who may just be his first real friend. But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself. Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day—but can he do it in time? “Wreck-It Ralph” crashes onto the big screen on November 2, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
