I’ve dusted off my neglected blog. Bought the domain two years ago with the idea to post every day, to show people what it is like raising a child on the spectrum.
But then life happens, work happens and things get ignored.
Well, since this is a new year and I’ve shifted my focus in work to include more advocacy work and promised to have a clearer and stronger voice in the special needs community, I decided to wipe out all the old content at http://ayearinautism.com, redesign it and start fresh. My New Year’s Resolution? To post every day, even if it’s midnight or a couple days later and I have to back date it. I will have 365 posts on that site by December 31, 2014.
Some posts may be links to resources. Some might be reviews of apps or products we tried that work well with autistic kids. Some might just be a picture Brady took of the ceiling fan for the eleventybillionth time. Maybe an anecdote, maybe a long wordy vent, maybe a post singing his praises and accomplishments. I have no idea which direction the blog will go in, but I’m very excited to see where it will take us.
So have a look. It’s day 10 of the year and I have 10 posts over there already! 😉
If you have suggestions, comments, ideas, or just want to tell me how cute my kid is, feel free to drop me a line here or there!
