I was at an event put on by the Mile High Mamas at Panera's Bel Mar location the other night. It was heaven! Nothing like my favorite girls, favorite food and, wait for it... BEAR CLAWS! (I'm just slightly addicted.)
In hearing about the new summer menu items and in between bites of Fuji apple chips, I learned that in 2011 Panera Bread of Colorado donated more than $2.8 million in product donations as part of its Day End Giving program and more than $100,000 in monetary donations.

Wait, what?! Yeah, you read that right. So totally not related to anything, but I was at a great event last night with the Mile High Mamas crew. When the girls get together, who knows what we will start talking about. Impotent Monkeys apparently.

I, for one, love to support local business, especially ones started by moms. Whether it’s selling crafty items on etsy or owning a wine bar (um, hello! Wine!), Moms are now going into business for themselves. People often use the term “Mompreneur”, but I much prefer calling them what they really are, “Awesomesauce”. Here are some local mom-owned businesses you won’t want to miss....
. I’m saddened to hear that MomsLikeMe.com is closing their site on October 14th. This was a great resource for local moms to have playdates, meetups, MNO’s and chit-chat. Many long lasting friendships were made all across the country due to this website. They had contests, polls, hot topics and more. It will be missed. Back in 2005, ColoradoMoms.com was born. Actually, it was around in 2004 I believe, but merged into ColoradoMoms.com the Spring of 2005. It quickly became a popular forum site for moms wanting to connect with others in their same position. Stay at home moms, work...

Finding the perfect school for your child is hard. Let’s face it, the state of education today isn’t exactly what it should be. So how do you know if your neighborhood school is right for you? How do you even begin to find a private school that jives with your beliefs and your kids learning styles? Sit back and relax. ColoradoMoms is here to help! I have 3 kids with ages ranging from not-quite-preschool to middle school. When we first moved back to Colorado, T was going into Kindergarten.
