MomsLikeMe.com Closing 10/14
. I’m saddened to hear that MomsLikeMe.com is closing their site on October 14th. This was a great resource for local moms to have playdates, meetups, MNO’s and chit-chat. Many long lasting friendships were made all across the country due to this website. They had contests, polls, hot topics and more. It will be missed. Back in 2005, ColoradoMoms.com was born. Actually, it was around in 2004 I believe, but merged into ColoradoMoms.com the Spring of 2005. It quickly became a popular forum site for moms wanting to connect with others in their same position. Stay at home moms, work...
Morning Routines, or… Why My Kids Hate Me
Do you have a morning routine with your kids? Is yours as insane as mine? Please share yours so I don’t feel so hopeless/helpless. LOL For me, I wake up at 6:30 (okay, 6:43 after hitting snooze twice) Make sure Tbone is up by 6:45 He eats breakfast, changes, etc. Wake Cartman up around 7 at 7:10 wake C up again 7:15 yell at C that if he doesn’t get up, he’s going to school in his jammies 7:25 get the kids to brush teeth/hair, shoes on, etc. 7:26 remind both kids that they have to actually use water and...
A Weekend Full of Fall Fun
From the leaves to the temperature, change is a comin’.  I am finally feeling like we are back in the swing of things.  Homework is getting done, football practice is happening and the leaves are changing.  I love fall!  I love the change of temperatures.  I love the beautiful colors.  I love being able to wear a hoodie!!  I love being able to pull on a sweater or a hoodie.  I really don’t remember Fall being so busy, but I feel like there is never enough time to get everything done.  I don’t know if it is that my...
March of Dimes - Colorado
March of Dimes – Colorado Moms Survey
Currently the March of Dimes is working to develop a Colorado-specific health campaign for moms designed to lower our state’s premature birth rate. As part of their development, they need to survey moms about their awareness of premature birth. They want to discover things like where and how they prefer to get health information and what you know about the pros and cons of scheduled procedures like C-sections and inductions. Why do you knit, Knit?
I have a NEED to do something with my hands. I went to college to study graphic design, but quickly discovered I didn't want to just design. I loved the production end just as much, if not more. I didn't want to just come up with the idea, I needed the follow through. I loved the messy printing end, but didn't want to give up the creative design end. So I took a break to figure things out. My parents are still bitter. And I got married, and had babies and decided what I REALLY wanted to do was be...
