I’m back on the fitness track! I started in January with “A New Me” but had to abandon it only weeks later due to a recurring knee injury. Well, I weighed in at 121 this morning, so that was good, but I really messed up my knee. I’ve had problems with my knees for a long time. My hip was hurting pretty bad over the past month and I found out it was because my knee cap was slipping. I have my big knee brace on now, but am ordering a patella stabilizer so I can get back to working out! So, just like I thought, I’m already slacking. I did my sculpt workout Wednesday, weighed myself at 121.6 WOOT! That’s 3 lbs down! Yesterday I was so sore from the previous days workout that I skipped it all together and opted for wine vs. exercise. Today I will double up my workouts as soon as I log off the laptop in a minute. I’m doing abs and either cardio dancing stuff, or maybe the treadmill, I can’t decide. I’m still loving the Brazil Butt Lift DVD’s (I got them cheaper on ebay in case you are looking for them) but...
Well I’ll be damned, this working out stuff actually works! I wish BeachBody was paying me for pimping them so much. LOL But the Brazil Butt Lift DVDs are actually lifting my bum! 8 days in and not a huge change to my diet still, but I’m trying to at least give 75% effort. And if you know me and my hate-hate relationship with exercise, that’s huge! My weight/measurements were all the same today as yesterday. I am going to try to not look at those again until next Monday. Today I only did 15 min of the Cardio DVD....
So yesterday was my “free” day. I still did a few squat’s just ’cause I felt like a sloth just laying around all day. I haven’t done my workout today yet, but hoping to soon. I finally got to ship the kids back to school so I was enjoying the quiet and mostly kid free day. I didn’t want to work out. My hip was screaming in pain last night, so much so I could barely walk by bedtime. I took some motrin and forced myself outta bed today. After well checks for the kids and leftover flu shots, we headed back home and I shoveled the walkway. Day 2 isn’t over but I wanted to write a quick note to say that I did 30 min of cardio! Only lasted 10 min on abs but will try to do another 10 later today. Breakfast was cereal and only half a cup of coffee. Lunch will be a salad with some hard boiled eggs. Dinner will be tough as DH is working through so usually the boys and I do pizza. Today was a productive day. I did a ton of cleaning, a million loads of laundry and got a 30 min cardio workout in. I did the “Brazil Butt Lift” work out. It was interesting to say the least. I think I need to find my Suzanne Somers books and go back to her plan. LOL She’s a lot easier on me than this latin man with the hips gyrating all over my screen. As far as food, I did okay. Coffee for breakfast (old habits die hard), oatmeal for lunch, few chips with black bean dip for a snack...
